Looking for something to do these school holidays? Melbourne City Family Day!

Are you looking for something to do these school holidays?  The Melbourne City Family day is on!

Melbourne City FC is pleased to announce that it will be holding its annual Family Day on Sunday 27 September from 11am-2pm.

The event will be held at our HQ, the City Football Academy, Melbourne and will include plenty of exciting activities for you and the whole family like the chance to meet the players from both the senior men’s and women’s first teams, dizzy penalties, inflatable goal shoot outs, the Victorian Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter, your chance to win $5,000 thanks to our club partner Coco Joy and much, much more.

Don’t miss out on the fun and our friendly memberships team will also be on site to help you chose the right membership package for the 2015/16 Hyundai A-League season!

Family packages for 2 adults and 2 kids start at just $45.95 across 11 months for all 14 home matches, including the two home derbies! So why not get the whole family together and see your stars on the pitch. Sign up today and be part of your Melbourne City.

We will face NPL Victoria’s Heidelberg United in the Quarter Finals of the Westfield FFA Cup. Full match details to be confirmed.

It was straight to work for Thomas Sorensen as he touched down and hit the track on Tuesday for his first session. See what he had to say about joining the Club and his first impressions.

Wednesday Night Comp Update

Only a few rounds left to play. The washed out round from 5th August will be played on 9th September.

See BELOW for the final weeks of play.

DIV TWO – only three matches left including finals.

DIV ONE – due to the re-scheduled draw, Bandits have a two week gap before the last game. I can’t avoid this I’m afraid!

Both Divs are tight at the top with several teams still able to win in theory.

In the Catalpa Cup, Renegades have to maintain their winning streak to hold onto the silver ware. I am not sure if Aiden Porter of the Renegades realised last Wednesday how crucial his goal was against the Smurfs in the last 3 minutes of play! It looked like the game would be a nil all draw and the Renegades needed the points to hold off the Boffins who hold the advantage on goal difference.

In Div Two, there are three teams that could make it to the top, although the final game will determine the eventual winner.

Looking forward to a few more dry Wednesdays this season!

Highlights from South West Games

We had a little bit of rain Saturday for the Junior competition, but it cleared up enough for everyone to get burnt!  We had a fabulous day with lots of teams in Under 8, Under 10 and Under 15’s.

3 Hamilton Teams made it into the finals between Juniors & Seniors and unfortunately we didn’t have a win, but I’m sure everyone had a great time versing teams from across the South West (including Mt Gambier).  So a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who travelled to make the tournament fun for all!!

Here is our President Julie Pickering with South West Games Ambassador & Bronze Medal winner Melissa Tapper and Patron Geoff Mibus awarding the the medals to our Junior winners in the Saturday competition.
