At Hamilton Soccer Club we are always trying to expand our programs to increase the opportunities for our regional community to enjoy the sport of soccer. We offer a number of formats for different levels of age and ability. If there is a program of football that we don’t currently offer in our range of packages please let us know and we will endeavour to fulfil that niche subject to demand and volunteer availability.

General Information

All our programs and competition teams are mixed gender (male and female) unless otherwise specified.

All our programs run during term 2 and 3 of the school year unless otherwise specified.

We use the Pedrina Park Soccer Pitch or PP3 oval (behind the soccer pitch) subject to weather conditions.

We run the training sessions and games, rain, hail or shine, but do not play when there is lightning or if significant rain leads to unsafe playing conditions on the soccer pitches. Providing an accurate mobile phone number in your registration enables us to text any cancellations as these sometimes occur at short notice.

Sessions are not normally conducted on the Queen’s birthday long weekend or during school holidays but this is subject to association fixturing.

South West Victorian Football (SWVF) association league / competition games are played weekly on Sundays during term 2 and 3 in a home or away format. The kick-off times are specified annually but typically the youngest juniors start matches in the morning (around 10.30am), with matches scheduled sequentially during the day finishing with Seniors in the late afternoon (from about 3pm).

SWVF games are not scheduled for the Queen’s birthday long weekend but may be scheduled for some weekends of the school holidays. See fixture details when available.

SWVF games are played in Hamilton, Warrnambool, Portland, Scott’s Creek and Stawell.

Refer to our website or Facebook page for pre-season training times, registration periods, events and up to date information on club activities.

All club members must agree to comply with our club, SWVF  and Football Victoria policies, terms and conditions and our child safety policy and code of conduct as condition of registration.

Our registration fees are paid upfront and there are no extra game day charges or fees unless specified.

OTHER INFORMATION

SWVF League | Age/Gender Options

The league competitions are mixed male and female competition within all age groups. We encourage all players (male and female) to participate at their appropriate age level as we believe this leads to their best development as soccer players and provides the most enjoyment. However, the club and league acknowledge that there are specific needs for some individual players where we can assist participation. The SWVF therefore provides for a limited number of positions in each team that are available for players that are new to soccer or female that wish to play down one age group in either the under 12, under 14 or under 16 teams. A formal request must be made to the SWVF. For players wishing to play up an age group, parents must also provide approval. Please contact the coach of the relevant team for assistance.

Mid-Season Player Registrations

If you have already registered via play football for a season with another club, a supplementary registration package can be developed with a reduced registration cost as FFV and FFA fees have already been charged with your first registration. Please contact the club for details.

For the Junior and MiniRoos players we will also able to offer a half-year term 3 only packages. However, these registration packages will typically only be available online from the end of June (term 2) to the end of July. Please contact the club for further information.

Social Soccer

The club endeavours to cater for all players wishing to participate in its organised soccer activities however you must be a registered member to be covered by insurance. If you just want to have a kick around and join in some training from time to time a reduced registration package may be able to be organised subject to requirements. Please contact the club to discuss your needs.

Registration Requirements

Registration and payment of registration fees is a requirement to take part in our club activities. The cost of our packages are set annually and are normally announced in February or March each year. Half-year packages may also be available for certain programs upon request. Please contact the club if you have any questions on registration costs, procedures or the packages available.
