about Hamilton soccer club
The Hamilton Soccer Club has been operating since 2001 as a not for profit incorporated association that seeks to increase the participation of female and male players throughout the Southern Grampians region.
Our aim is to provide a safe inclusive environment for players of all abilities and from all backgrounds. Our volunteers work hard to keep registration and participation costs as low as possible to ensure cost is not barrier to involvement.
Hamilton Soccer Club fields mixed teams in the South West Victorian Football Association League for Seniors, Under 16s, 14s and 12s. The club also runs mixed MiniRoos (4-11yrs) sessions each Saturday morning at Pedrina Park during school terms 2 and 3. There is also a mid-week 7-aside competition for high school students under lights at Pedrina Park.
Our growing membership is currently around 150 player members annually with greater than 80 percent of our members under the age of 18. We have also initiated the Soccer Mums program with Football Victoria which is stimulating female participation in sport and healthy outcomes for older women via the physical activity of soccer as part of the “This Girl Can” Vic Health initiative. This new Saturday morning program has been highly successful and popular amongst our mums, many of whom have children participating in the Junior and MiniRoos sessions.
Our home ground is Pedrina Park, North Boundary Road Hamilton. We are working with council to improve these facilities and build change rooms and a club house.
